Couldn't get through Mountainhead. rage quit from cringe 1/3 of the way in. 

Might try again tonight out of morbid curiosity for where this goes. At the very least, it's fascinating to see who Hollywood thinks is creating AI/tech and what problems they are responsible for.

Woof, such a bummer. Idk what it was about Succession format that worked for Armstrong & Co (Peepshow also an all-timer) but found The Menu similarly cringe and the Mountainhead trailer did nothing for me.

Its biggest problem is that its satire with zero nuance.

Its shot really well, and the acting is really good, but boy is all the fucking nuance sucked clean out of it, its so heavyhanded

Lol theres a part where Steve Carell starts going on about someone being a deaccelerationist and I was like OK bet this is it for me.

It was ok for what it was, but will probably age well and be pretty nose on in 5 years

Astute, time flattens it all the nuance out and it'll probably be accurate to what we remember in 5 years.

I'm trying to remember some other movie I saw that aged like that 🤔 ... Similar thing tho. Unrealistic for the time, but an accurate sketch when all was said and done.
