I can't believe there's no simple e-ink chess board in market. I've replaced all endless scroll apps with Chess.com. I love the headspace chess (even poorly) puts me in, but I dislike being attached to my phone to do it. A $100 standalone gadget like this would be so nice to have around.

Royalties died because of Blast and the PFP market. Looking back, the critics were right; it became a race to strip-mine momentum and hollow out the scene. OS actively undermined the vertical they aimed to grow by trying to compete with the dead-eyed mercenaries. It's good that this is being revisited as a compet...

Fuck it, enforced royalties this week. In addition to importing contracts from Foundation, we're going to deploy v4 of our creator contracts that enforce royalties via @limitbreak 's transfer validator. Once live, any new contracts deployed through Transient will enforce

nouns and loot specifically were cool bc of the wealth effect, crypto nerds flushed with $1200 ETH they bought for $20 and handshake over diluted green tea dumped 8 figs on jpegs. eth the asset underperforming since 2022 has cut the legs right out of the interesting usecases.
As great as it is to see more stablecoin adoption as “validation” of cryptos utility, the experimental phase of crypto was much much more fun to be a part of. I miss nouns, I miss cool non grifty projects like loot, the idea of a composable and open data layer is so much more interesting than letting dropshippers save

Dear lazyweb: Which Claude skill do you recommend for on-chain analysis? I need something that can track value flow, pull smart conteact ABIs, and clarify how different protocols generate revenue and where it goes.

I'm attempting to explain to kid 1 that she was once as small and perfect as kid 2. Then she grew and surprised and delighted us at every stage, and we have that same journey with little brother ahead. She's not impressed and just wants to know if she's getting a bike for her birthday.

We over “protect” the public, and hurt society, by requiring one have $5M+ to invest in private firms, which on average get substantially higher returns than the public firms that every one is allowed to invest in.

DAI getting hollowed out from a pegged stablecoin to a USDC wrapper really bothers me.
There’s still time to fix it. But what keeps me up at night is that DAI failing could end up being one of the biggest mistakes this industry ever made We had a decentralized stablecoin with network effects, something that could have really mattered to the world, and we blew it
