Buying a new MacBook this week. 

Def doing M4. Was thinking 32 gb ram, 512 ssd should be more than enough 

Does anyone have strong opinions on the air vs pro? 

My current one is a pro I bought 6 years ago. Seems like there’s a “lightweight / aesthetic” argument to the air which might be worth thinking about

1 TB is the SSD sweet spot. I would also highly recommend the nanotexture/matte display.

It makes the display ridiculously easy to read even with moderate sun glare.

Just bought the MacBook Pro with a m4 pro chip, 1 tb ssd, 32 gb ram, nano texture display (which is awesome for using it outdoors) 

I think the biggest consideration is what kind of AI model you want to be able to run in the future, locally, if that interests you, or if you’re using it for editing video/intense gaming.

If no to all, then an air is probably fine. If you want more power for running ai, might be with the pro chip
