Pretty insane as to how much Farcaster changed my life in the last 4 years. Feels like graduating college. I learned a lot, made some very close friends that I’ll still be in touch with, but now will have to move on with the next phase of life.

Neynar is acquiring Farcaster. Over the next few weeks, we’ll transfer ownership of the protocol contracts and code repositories, the Farcaster app, and Clanker to Neynar. They will run and maintain everything going forward. Some members of the Merkle team, Varun, and I will step back from day-to-day work on Farcaste

i really did try my best w TOC. it was super hard to write 115 posts in 1 year along with all the other experiments of paid community, building out clients, podcast, trying new experiments w zora/daylight/IRL meetups and so on but ultimately we take the learnings and continue forward

ngl, after 3 years of TOC (2 newsletters, 1 podcast, consulting work, 2 fc clients, hypersub, etc.) it was really tough to admit that it was probably the end of my first startup and needed to move on. I learned a lot and did p well but ultimately no pmf / escape velocity
