Eh, it's different since you'll have stock coins which trade 24/7 (with DeFi leverage) affect actual stock prices that trade 6.5/5. 

Also there are no circuit breakers onchain.

I was being charitable to Dan's point that they don't already have circuit breakers like NYSE

Do you really think the on chain version of stocks won't carry over all the legacy guards? I don't see a way through the legal restrictions where it doesn't

It is better because it's borderless, always-on, and the usual safeguards / constraints imposed by the trading venues (eg. circuit breakers) don't apply 

But my point is, it's only a shinier version of what already exists, not something net new that changes how we organize capital
