Final budget number is $170 billion for ICE. …. versus $8 billion budget for ICE currently. Considering that ICE ran out of "dangerous criminals" immediately and started raiding work sites and courthouses, you really have to wonder why they need such a massive budget...

That's the thing though... immigration in the US is under control. The main reason why there are so many undocumented people in the US is because the paperwork process is so slow... and that's USCIS not ICE. Honestly man, with $170B, I think way more people than just undocumented immigrants are going to be targeted.

I dont think i’ll agree with the statement under control, if people keep crossing the border. And being undocumented still means they came in illegally in the first place documentation after breaking the law doesn’t and shouldn’t change that

What exactly is the issue with people coming to the USA illegally? They come to work and with hopes of a better life? The reason I am asking is because I have a hard time understanding why this is a problem when there are a lot of digital nomads moving to Mexico and doing the same. They might enter the country “legally” with a tourist visa but then stay there and live there. Is it the amount of people that is the issue?

There is a big problem with illegals you see. It cant be compared to digital nomads - who according to their visas have the right to stay in a country and work, provided they meet certain criteria. The presence of Illegals entering a country like the US breeds a toxic environment in many ways. 1. It creates an underground market for human trafficking and smuggling into the US which is mostly handled by gangs from other countries. Lemme paint a picture for you - a family wants to get to the US for some reason, they contact people with access in their home countries that collect payment to help with movement and setting it up (as on one does these on their own). The problem is this contacts are often gang affiliates who exist and trive in the US because of the illegal immigrant market. And these gangs grow and have more power because they can do whatever they like without fear of being snitched as you don’t expect an illegal to go reporting matters to the police. This gives them leverage to commit all sorts of crimes without even getting noticed by law…

4. The US is too big IMO to have open boarders. Condtions in the US are better than most countries and if the world knows anyone can cross the boarder that way with no consequences then it’s only a matter of time before the number of illegals (good and bad) rival the number of citizens and legal immigrants With these few points of mine, i hope i have been able to convince and not confuse you that illegals are not the best for a country like the US. 😂😂

2. Asides the underground crime rate Alot of these illegals are running away from their countries because they have been wanted of some crime (if they applied legally they wouldn’t pass the background check) - so thats basically like a backdoor for dangerous criminals from different countries. 3. Illegals who are just regular family people and enter the country to look for jobs, still hurt the economy in their own little way by driving down wages. They will take any job at any pay just to survive, this makes it easier for employers to take advantage of their situation and offer inhumane wages that no one else will take and also means quality less work for low income Americans
