what… what do you actually use an Apple Vision Pro for? the novelty faded months ago and I can’t even muster an excuse to put it on.

so. apple people. why do i still have this expensive thing on my shelf?

No current 3D movie viewing solution is better than the AVP tho

That said, I’ve only watched about 2 3D films on mine

I really like using the ultrawide display from my MacBook with the AVP; I’ve never been happy with a small screen size of laptops

actually giant TV and good stereo are cheaper than a single AVP.

watch movies super large on your couch idk i forgot what i was gonna use it for in my made up scenarios in my head when i wanted to buy one 🤣

Is the tech and accompanying apps just not there yet?

I’ve got a stack of unused VR headsets to donate to your museum, going all the way back to the HTC Vive. A mighty expensive totem.

It’s giving $3,500 decor with no job.

Yeah. I have a feeling what I heard about how great it was has more to do with somebody justifying their purchase than anything else.

It’s… fine. Used it on my most recent international flight and, sure, it’s better than in-flight systems. But not so much better than an iPad that’s it’s worth the awkward carry on.

I have heard it’s good on flights. No idea if this is true.

Might rethink buying some VR goggles then. I only tried them recently (not apple ones) but loved the immersiveness of the 3d environment. I guess that novelty wears off after a while.

maybe I’m playing the wrong games. but that’s difficult since there are so few worthwhile games.

it’s too awkward to even be a paper weight. a simple brick would be better.

Maybe it’s time to turn it into a decorative piece for the shelf, a pricey paperweight! 😅

I’ve never been a fan of VR since the early versions appeared back in 2015.

it’s too heavy for fitness stuff. 
Quest is better for that.

i got the oculus instead of it.   couldn't justify the cost at the time.   

would've been really cool if you could've used apple fitness+ on it though

Apple person here. No way I would have bought that thing. Sorry.

I still use the Virtual Display almost every day so I can work anywhere in the house and not be tied to my monitors at my desk (in the garage, it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter).

I’ve always wanted to try one, haven’t had the chance yet
