Honestly I could see a game riding the wave, with those visuals, doing extremely well with very simple gameplay.

As in, it wouldn't need to be a full fledged open world RPG. It could be an infinite runner where you're locked in that perspective and you get to move your sword in one of three positions to hack at enemies showing up (mirroring the standard 3 lanes gameplay).

Then you add stuff like, I don't know, a levelup system with ye olde medieval looking screen to make it RPGey. 😄
