a community built around a product, so community then token -or- a product (with no community yet) launches a token simultaneously, so token then community

A community built around a product that then launches a token is ideal but not always feasible. The real opportunity is to find balance and harmony between all 3 (product - token - community).

Agree. It's not one size fits all. I'm thinking a playbook with examples of different scenarios (case studies) would be a good starting point for builders. And a flow chart.

Totally! At farcaster dev day this past friday, @dwr shared a framework about how meme coins, app coins, and ecosystem tokens all serve different roles in the stack: - Meme coins fuel attention and culture - App coins align incentives inside products - Ecosystem tokens power the underlying rails Point being, some meme might graduate into app coins. Some app coins might have a meme moment. It’s less about which comes first and more about recognizing what role something’s playing at any given time. Also, with the FC team acquiring @clanker your playbook idea feels like exactly what early-stage builders (hi, me!) need right now.
