i used to listen to all-in religiously and it just doesn't hit for me like it used to. i still love the banter (witty like no other), but the discussions now lean too political, too rehearsed / researched, and less genuine. my favorite parts these days are the intro sections. anyone else feeling the same? thoughts?

my guess is the podcast started at a time when they seemed controversial or talking what everyone is thinking and no one is saying but since then things has generally shifted, and their opinions is the common. or not much interesting is happening in the world rn.

i agree and thought it was just me!! intro song is a bop, their banter is still semi-endearing to me, but the takes are feeling more and more stale / repetitive / pushing their own agendas a little too transparently

some podcasts start to feel like a bad dinner party that won't end. I've gotten that lately from All In. episodes where Friedberg is hosting have been better.

show was more relevant when everyone was stuck at home in 2021 I still watch it as it does a decent job of aggregating relevant tech news, but it's clear they (mostly Jason/Chamath) are trying to turn it into another exit liquidity machine

I stopped listening in late 2022. Combination of bad takes on markets (both stocks and crypto) and their pivot into politics lost my interest.

Retweet what @grace already mentioned It’s a bit of a “they don’t know we know that they know we know” vibe rn. Very obvious positioning on subject matter. Feels like they have $$ behind lately especially wrt politics

I enjoy the balance they have right now. TBH I used to skip when they talked all about their personal life.

Hard agree. Basically I liked the band before they got big, when I was getting insights into big business and how VCs think but now far too much politics and JCal has become insufferable.
