to any runners out there: i need ur help. i’m getting back into running after 2 months or so of low impact movement (yoga, pilates), and im rlllllly not used to this summer heat😭 does anyone have any tips for running during the summer time ☀️?

I’ve been there! Early morning and late afternoons are your best bet as well as starting slow and incorporate some fartlek. Try this out 3x per week with off days 45 min walking: Week 1) 1min run, 4 min walk 2) 1.5m run, 3.5min walk … Keep going until 4 min run, 1 minute walk. You got this!

ooooou wait what’s fartlek??? and yeah sometimes i feel a little shameful walking in between but i gotta let my ego go if i wanna actually be consistent

So fartlek is a Swedish running method that incorporates a mix of slow and fast pace like the workout I mentioned! We’ve all been there but just takes time getting used to it; I used to get impatient walking but now I can’t go a day without it
