... and we had to take a bunch of snapshots beforehand, and coordinate with each of the different communities involved (unlike with an allow list, you can't just stop thinking about a community once you've got them listed -- you have to make sure their community managers know when their wave is and can promote it)...

Uncharitable take: “We’ve reinvented boarding groups”

Nuanced take: You gain sanity and prioritization of community members (assuming you have persistent history for that), but lose hype/excitement which can be crucial for smaller projects. 

Certainly should be an option considered for any future mints 🫡
