to become a parent is a decision to take on the heroic task of becoming your best self. not in a yoga-self-care-meditation-journaling type of way but in a you-face-your-self sort of way. 

kids and marriage are a forcing function to face your truths. and in choosing to do it right, reaching a deep sense of fulfillment unlike anything else. 

ofc only in hindsight, so more of a reflection than a guide. pre-dad seneca would have been like “ok, yolo”.

that's your experience. it resonates but it's a small sample size. many never figure that out or rise to the occassion

yep, 100% my experience. but even within my own experience, i can totally see myself simply not stepping up to the plate. it's the easiest and comfiest route to take.
