It feels like Twitter is going in the wrong direction — no dedicated moderation resources (e.g. scams, bots, trolling, platform manipulation still rampant), misaligned incentives (payouts are encouraging the worst kind of social media experience), getting rid of blocking (?), etc.

true. bot scourge is winning. & ppl are approaching the problem the wrong way, imo. answer doesn't lie in building new apps, fixing old ones, tweaking algos, etc. these "solutions" just add to the big problem: fragmentation. breaking down barriers b/w existing networks is the only way to build a stronger network
