It’s really shitty that you can’t create an advanced directive that says, “If I get dementia or lose all cognitive function, I would like to end my life.” Seeing my dad go from smart, strong, & independent to confused, weak, & unable to care for himself is fucked. We should let people go out with dignity, not in diapers.

I totally agree with you and I’m sorry for what you are going through. A few years ago I watched my Dad waste away and it was absolutely cruel.
