2/ underlying intelligence that powers them Each agent is molded & shaped to have specific domain knowledge, “vibes,” likes and dislikes, and vernacular/language, and it’s carefully sculpted to reflect back particular aspects of knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving that we humans need

Cool. I love seeing this kind of stuff in the feed. Carl Jung compared archetypes a magnet dragged under a piece of paper with iron shavings on it. You never “see” the archetype but you can always see where it’s been in hindsight. Archetypes are autonomous psychic bodies that exist in and independently of us, and often communicate through myth. Jospeh Campbell identified this mythic pattern as something that transcends time and culture (similar to memetic transfer). He also pointed out that if you want to see the prevailing value set of a culture look at the tallest structures they built (from cathedrals to govt buildings to financial towers). The investment in data centers and super computers today points to the prevailing technological value set. Agents are mythic manifestations, reflecting our values past (eg trained on internet data) and present (eg the outsized investment in AI). With agents, we are quite literally merging with the myth.
