There's an obvious answer here.. Stop using divisive 19th century language like socialism. With half a brain, we can articulate any left political concept in plain language that everyone in our community can understand. People get so married to the labels and aesthetic that they give up their whole shot at changing minds.

We only control at best half of the narrative. If someone wants to attack your idea there’s nothing stopping them from using divisive 19th century language.

Maybe true - the issue with new labels is they're open to manipulation. Like in this very example in the original post, "American people should own American workplaces" is great, but that little nationalistic notation in it can easily be captured by fascists with money to turn into Nazi type fascist state-supported enterprise model.
