Zohran went from being a candidate polling at 1% in February, to beating A canidtdate from a political dynasty in the city, who was fully backed by the Democratic establishment who spent over 30 million dollars in pac money to try and defeat him

nah, I don't think you can both dismiss low-information voters as "just voting for a name they recognize" and insisting that Cuomo polling high early was indicative more than name recognition. 

this is p common. household name polls high and then as campaign wears on, they fall. Jeb(!) also owned in 2015 polls.

Cumo's poll numbers didn't fall off though
