I think it’s much more to do with the fact of starting over with no followers. Most people are married to X and aren’t going to leave without some life changing reason. There really is not a single reason for a normie to use FC, well there are plenty of reasons but they don’t understand or care. I agree with dwr = unique and engaging content and news from major accounts is what FC needs first.

there's a real untapped potential to reward any social action with any financial instrument, especially retroactively. Farcaster is significantly closer to realizing this. if you had any recourse with an X account (especially now that premium/ad rev isn't the same), it would be cross-creating on both, community-building between both, and pumping the network effect for the most lasting effect possible.

There’s a missing narrative that what has happened or “worked” for the last few years is likely not going to work on the next leg of the journey. Need to get people thinking outside the pre-existing notions (points, degenerate gambling, X as a “custom acq") - Farcaster is greenfield, the risk is high and the reward is relatively unknown

Farcaster is a protocol that allows people and communities to capture value (of digital content) in ways that are not possible in legacy social media thanks to the open social graph & decentralization (this, btw, is something most people on FC are also missing..)
