What’s the privacy expectation for verified phone numbers?

Was kinda surprised to be staring back at mine in the verifications tab after verifying a week or so again. 

Where exactly did that get stored & why? Didn’t see how to remove that now & feeling a bit tricked. Maybe I heard what I wanted to hear.

we can all read/hear the same clear comms, in response to people concerned about the treatment of their phone numbers, that our phone numbers are not stored

we can all see our own phone numbers with our own eyes

until further explanation is provided

there's an infinite range of possibilities /s

It must be in @privy Multi-Party Computation right‽ Hopefully only being reassembled when my part of the share appears. That's my guess at least but not sure where my share key is stored & how i bring it to the assembly.

anyone who just wants to know for themselves, can delete warpcast and reinstall the app, to confirm if their phone number reappears after being verified

They were my inspiration for checking & asking. 

I kinda yolo fomo’d as I don’t have an x account that can be verified. Felt corned & wanted optionality for airdrops & perks & the like. In the end made the share it decision on my own knowing it will be found in the wild one day.
