Trending has really low usage but a small group of users still check it. Our bias is to sunset it at some point (simplify!), but wanted to get input. Trending is less relevant today because of the algo feed, boosts and soon the new version of channels.

I’d rather see the trending feed become the boosted feed so it could be about discovery of new and interesting accounts.

but then you're giving full control of that to @dwr.eth and team rather than the whole of Farcaster -- you'll see less there not more

That’s odd — my trending feed is much better for discovery — half the time I see you there & not in my home feed

Mine is just a repeat of a lot of folks I follow therefore not useful at all because I’ve already seen it! Crazy that trending is different for each of us! I assumed it was the same! TIL!

This is comparison of mine from earlier — almost no overlap and only place I’m seeing people I don’t follow is in trending. I pulled 4 casts from trending for next gmfc. None from my home feed. For me it’s super helpful! It’s definitely more static but that’s not a bad thing imo. Mentioned this elsewhere too — I also use Twitter this way. I usually start with what’s trending. (and that has multiple trending feeds)
