I've recently started rereading The Dragonlance Chronicles, one of my favorite series from childhood. It is cheesy and obviously heavily inspired by the Lord of the Rings, but something about revisiting old characters and stories is comforting.

Cyberpunk 2020 books are this for me. Pretty cheesy but I feel a little like a kid reading them.

There is a storybook in my country called Shahnameh With the same theme. According to historians, it took the author's time twenty years to write that book in the form of poetry, but during his lifetime, he was not honored and died alone. Historians say he was shocked by the king's negligence. But now the contents of his book are read in schools and in the world. The story of the book is very similar to The Lord of the Rings

You're diving back into your childhood memories and pleasures, so it's inevitably comforting. The first games, first comics, first music, first series and movies leave a mark on our emotional memory ☺️

there’s something special about revisiting old favorites, even if they come with a bit of cheese that nostalgia and comfort they bring🥹 you noticed anything new in the series during this reread that you didn’t catch the first time?

I don't know anything specifically about this book. But I understand you, I too have things from my childhood that are obviously not very good, but I like them at the same time, with their special atmosphere
