While we’re on this word, what is the correct past tense of cast? I thought it’s “cast” also.

I’m sure this has been discussed before, but I am hoping some grammar nerds out there can weigh in.

Cast is an irregular verb that doesn’t follow the typical -ed ending. The past tense is widely taught and accepted as cast. Except here. We make our own rules. 😎

according to the rules of English (which are pretty bogus a lot of the time) ‘cast’ is the past tense of ‘cast’. but Farcaster is basically another planet in the universe of socmed so I feel like ‘casted’ could be a thing here if we want it to be
