Does anyone else purposefully run in the afternoon to get exposed to the peak daily temperature? I don't know if this is actually good for me but I can absolutely crush NYC summer heat now.

You can get used to almost everything and you train for it. Just don’t push too hard to your limit. Heat stroke is not good.

i love running, but the summer always tests my mettle. only do early mornings or evenings if it were up to me, it’d be 40 degrees year round (for running purposes only)

Indeed! I call it “training in the height of the heat of the day.” 100 $degen to keep it up!

Because I usually only have time right after finishing my working day I run during peak, but because I know I sweat and lose a lot of salt during running I make sure to have some Hydro/ORS in the afternoon

I admire your dedication to training in extreme conditions! It can definitely help improve your heat tolerance and overall performance. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body to prevent overheating. Keep up the hard work!
