What if, Warpcast would only show active followers? Let's call it the Purge 2.0. But what is the definition of active? Let's take 5 casts in the past 60 days. @geoffgolberg is that any good? Add this to a @dune.eth query and we have an active followers number, take out L0 spammers and we get an even lower active quality followers number. With above parameters, @dwr.eth has 20,5k active qfollowers. How many do you have? Check in the dune query below https://dune.com/queries/4761620

interesting. there's the Power Rule in social that says 90% of users lurk, 9% engage, and 1% are top-level posters. these adjust slightly across platforms. if that's the case, then having the majority of active users *not* casting is actually kind of normal? obviously we want more people casting but food for thought.

Interesting thought. Interesting for analysing followers. If I use 1 cast in the last 30 days on a fork (thanks Claude for the edits 😁) of this Dune query, there seems to be relative more quality casters inactive than active (well, at least for mine and your account). https://dune.com/queries/4761920?previous_days_t6c1ea=30&times_casted_t6c1ea=1

@mvr Thanks! I tried it. My approx. 1.9K followers are 1154. This seems reasonable, although the actual active max may be 100 people. I think the number of casts is not enough for filtering, because I personally know someone who doesn't cast, but writes meaningful things under many casts and is also available in DM.

good idea to have minimum x number of cast as requirement of active account but the x shouldn't be disclosed else the bot/spam account gonna adjust accordingly. The first rule of Fight Club is: "You do not talk about Fight Club." 😉

I think this is where it will go...and they should do it. I think it'd make them the leader in this key area because then people would have trust these are valuable metrics (Followers/Following). Right now everyone knows it's just a BS number.

Going to tell ya from 5k to what the purge 2.0 would be is closer. I kept saying most likely 90 % of my followers were bots. So at least this is closer. wonder and hope this means for the algorithm that we’re going to see each other more meaning actual human beings in the feed and algo!

i like this i like this a lot v dependent on the spam label algo but qfollowers is a super interesting angle — a fluctuating value that almost feels like it could be the profile equivalent of token price 👁️👁️
