the only time i used a 'fake ID' was when i was 17 and 10 months going to my friends 18th birthday at a jazz bar 

i was panicking the whole night 

and also hungry

i went to the bar to order a garlic bread and i got asked for ID

i showed them my friends ID who looks nothing like me but is black so it was fine

and got my garlic bread and swore i would never do that again

My dad always said he could go drinking under age anywhere but he had to behave or the locals would get him thrown out.

In my time, you could drink underage in pubs where the police knew the landlord would keep things under control.

Now you can't at all. I'm not convinced this is progress!

It's not as if it did anything to stop underage drinking. It just stopped the supervision.

there is a new really nice pub thats opened near my mother in laws which is no under 18s at any time even for food which is a nightmare for families
