amazing harry 💗 💗 i'm so sorry for your ruined life and thank you for reminding me I needed to add you to my sarcasters starter pack https://farcaster.xyz/adrienne/pack/Sarcasters-abwz4o my aunt was a nicu nurse, I remember hearing stories from her and i'm not sure I know anyone with a heart as big as hers i dont have any personal nicu experience except I did have an OB schedule a D&C for me b/c of a missed miscarriage (meaning a pregnancy that didn't take but also didnt self abort) and when I went in for my appointment it turned out there was a beating heart so we stopped the procedure and that little beating heart is now my 18 year old child and yes I stopped seeing that OB

Sending love. NICU days were terrifying, but now mine is climbing furniture like a goat on espresso 😭 Bless these strong little monsters!

My daughter was 5 weeks early & in the NICU for a few days. However, a couple weeks after she was born — but before her due date! — I was scheduled to run a half marathon. I already had my hotel booked (with a group, raising lots of money; hard to back out of). My wife came down sick (with strep or something like that?) the day before. I PR’d and went home. This is not a confession; it was all my daughter’s fault.

What a sweet boy you have! My baby Eddie was born with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He needed surgery a few days after birth then two more later. He’s causing lots of shenanigans, very healthy and super strong!!

Babies with the bili light eye goggles kill me. At least they look adorable while they’re in there. 😎 Our son was 6 weeks early, spent 3 weeks in the NICU (only a day or two with the bili light, though), and now a 4-year old climbing and running around everywhere and cannot be stopped. My wife (luckily) had a fall while we were on a run together at 33 weeks. We came in to check things out, and (unrelated to the fall) Doctors found he was having issues with his chord and very low HR and needed to deliver early. Amazing how hard it is in the moment and the gratitude and peace you have looking back.

mine early but born with the horrible jaundice. he was under the lamp for like a week and a half. this pic took me right back to all that stress and worry… now he’s 8 and just says no to everything lol
