Meta AI integrates with WhatsApp and IG messages (probably FB, too?) xAI / Grok integrates with X and now… Telegram? impossible to think OpenAI won’t integrate with World or a social app somehow also interesting to see most replies have to do with data privacy and mistrust of a centralized entity

Farcaster Pro is an important step forward in making the protocol sustainable. Raising a bunch of money from investors and spending it is not sustainable. It’s a tactic not a strategy. If the protocol can charge a fee that people are willing to pay annually, then it will have budget to spend on what is important to the protocol—independent of any one company. We’re starting with a pragmatic, optimized for speed approach today where we are centrally collecting, deciding (via an algo) and distributing rewards. In the next few weeks, subscribing to pro will be onchain and permissionless. In the longer term, ideally we can figure out how move rewards to something more akin Bitcoin or Ethereum block rewards where funds are collected and distributed entirely at the protocol. We’re not close to this and not a near term priority, but it’s where we would like to get to. (Solve the problems in the correct sequence.)

Farcaster Pro latest update 1. 5,537 subscriptions sold so far 2. Things are slowing a bit, but seems plausible we sell out all 10K in the first 24 hours 3. Note: if you're subscribing as we get close to 10,000, expect the payment to fail. We're shipping a better "sold out" UX, but for now it may hard fail. 4. The best advice is to be sure to update your app from the app store, restart 1-2x before purchasing -- that should make it more likely you will have the new "sold out" UX -- will be super clear if NFT is still available (i.e. listed as a benefit) vs. not (it will literally say sold out) Casting this now since decent chance the 10,000 subscription will sell out nighttime Pacific time and I'll be sleeping.
