a version of loss aversion means that i’m going to ger quite upset (despite my best efforts and my rational desire to avoid getting upset) when my farcaster rewards this week drop down to three bucks (as they seem poised to do per my place on the rewards board) wondering whether usd-see that coming @farcaster you see this is the issue with pecuniary incentives when they go down one wants not to try harder (especially if they’re nominal sums) one wants to RAGE QUIT TURN THE PAGE QUIT it’s like if you study harder and do what you think is a better job but keep geting lower and lower grades you’re going to start cutting that class you’re going to develop a theory about how the system is far from far from perfect that the game is rigged and warped af
