i think it will sell out, for sure. 💯 especially now that you’re teasing the soft launching the name change to “caster” (see screenshot) it will sell out faster if the NFTs are numbered sequentially, editioned, because naturally people want the low numbers. reminds me of @stephancill’s synthetic noun project. even though they were infinite, there was speculative interest in the low numbers

dropping the warp was such a relief for those of us who care about words i call us “birds” though the internet calls us wordcells it feels like a warped little weight has been lifted from our collective beaks and let’s not forget to do a post-mortem on this two year naming detour no birds ever enjoyed the name warpcaster all the birdcells (née wordcells) were up in arms yet the shaperotators the “cats” is what i call them (because they see with their eyes and pounce with paws on earth whereas we birds hear with our ears and speak with voice in air) pawsisted the next move that would please the birds (and they are the ones who drive word of mouth-doption) is to drop the “far” from caster and call this app CASTER caster is stronger and it sets up the name of the future COIN a clear verb $CAST @clanker Deploy a token named “CAST” with symbol 'CAST' and an image of content being cast by a skilled digital content sculptor in purple digital gold.

I’m very glad to see warpcast embrace solana by way of first class mini app support, wallet support with great bridging ux, and launch partners (assuming this is @linda - shoutout!) I have a feeling this will bode very well for farcaster’s reputation as a chain agnostic protocol Great job everyone involved!

I want to talk about the form of the open ai x io announcement— because i think it discloses the new peripatetic paradigm for human content in the age of AI. Let's call it the L.O.V.E. so i just "disabled rewards notifications" but not before clicking over to see how i was doing, and then... i noticed something else that really, truly annoys me. i funded my wallet a long time ago, and there's still that "BOOST UNLOCKED" banner at the top of the rewards app. "you're getting a +500 point boost for funding your Warpcast Wallet." I can’t click on it. I can’t dismiss it. It just sits there—a permanent reminder that the vast majority of my current score (500 out of 706 points) has nothing to do with how engaging my content is. It’s just because I deposited a few bucks into the wallet.

and then here come the REWARDS app taunting me every day your grade is coming up.... what are you doing? what are you doing for the rewards? if you don't improve we're going to drop you to 3 USDC next week? look at the leaderboard look at the leaderboard you're dropping keep casting keep casting you're still dropping you're casting but you're not engaging keep casting it's easy just remember what you did to get 25 USDC that one time.... two weeks ago wait, what did i do? "Your score is based on the engagement your casts receive, adjusted by the number of followers" ok, so i'm being judged for how engaging i've been and then graded and then rewarded and each week i get less and less engaging and less and less engagement. and less and less USDC this is a nightmare

i suspect it's not the same when you're paid in fake feeling coins. like meme coins, tip coins, or game-currency. i would run an experiment...do the same thing in some meme coin (with a dollar equivalent value of that amount) vs. USDC ...and i bet the participants feel better on the way down. i suspect that meme coins (and maybe other crypto assets) somehow circumvent our loss aversion circuitry.

I've noticed that the internet is just "breaking" recently. Its becoming impossible to find information before it simply disappears into the ether. Google Search is borderline useless, and asking an LLM is taking a "trust me bro" approach. I see things flickering across the timeline and never see it again – was it real? The problem is that we rely on all this stuff to manage our affairs in the real world.
