The novelty of FC (ie app interoperability, crypto features, etc) is hard for a new user to comprehend, especially non-crypto people.  Rewards and multiple apps and mini apps aren’t materially different from what’s out there.  There is little reason to stick around if you don’t already know people.

Novel FC clients could allow new users to go from 0 -> aha! for specific novel value props.  That only works if the clients/value props are truly unique, though.

Put another way, it’s not clear how to reliably get users to realize the novel value of FC and funding other clients  may allow you to increase the novelty search surface area.
