Pixel Survivors!

I currently hold 4/5 top spots in Pixel. A few people have asked me how I'm scoring so high, so I thought I'd share. 

My favorite character to run is the mage, because he deals good damage and can run through packs powered up. 

Let's start with skills. This is typical the order I max them in. 
Orb
Grenade
Fireball (kills bosses fast, this is important)
Lightning
Ancient clock
Magnet (usually 1 by lvl 20 ish)
Power stone
Aura
Armor
Magic wand 
Boots

I get to lvl 7 ASAP and sit in the pocket killing minions, not collecting dots or getting to level 8 because that triggers the first boss, which means less minions, which means less dots and slower leveling.

Once the countdown turns red, the minion spawn stops and I collect my dots.  I then kill the first boss as fast as possible. 

This is important, the faster you kill the bosses the better.

Why? Because there is a timer from when each boss spawns to the next. So the faster you kill the boss, the more time you have to kill minions...
