... and get more dots, which means more levels. This becomes exponential because you get stronger, kill bosses and minions faster, get more skills and have more time for the next wave of minions.
For example, let's say (not 100%) you get 120s to kill a boss before he enters berserk mode. If you kill that boss in 30 seconds, you'll have 90s to kill minions and collect dots, which means more levels and a stronger character early in the game. However, if you take 90s to kill the boss, you'll only have 30s to kill minions and collect dots, so you'll not be as high as a level for the next round and won't be able to kill as fast.
Kill bosses ASAP!
The 2nd biggest piece of advice I would give is, you've got to get in the trenches. You're going to take some damage, I like to go in a circle killing minions and cutting the angles smaller and smaller to pick up dots. You will come close to dying a few times and you can start playing a little more passively until you get some life back, but get in there. 1 reply
