The United States and the rest of the world seems really behind on infrastructure for an AI existence.
It feels like Andrew Yang was the only person in politics who had the foresight that the time to build is now.
There's just no way around it, within, ~20 years, AI is going to dominate the workforce, and nearly no industry will be spared.
Factories, warehouses, food, ubers deliveries, these are all obvious.
But it's more, surgeons, do you think humans will ever operate again once the tech to operate with 99.99% precision is achieved?
Even entertainment will likely be all AI generated. Actors, sets, even storylines? (Sorry blockhead)
We are not the least bit prepared. We're heading for a real gray area where slowly the number of people unemployed will flip the number of people working. This will likely be a stressful time in human history for a few reasons. Who works and who doesn't? UBI will just become a necessity, and there is no real argument against it. The amount of the populace who have been replaced by AI will dwarf the number of new jobs created.
I guess the solution is everyone gets a form of UBI and if you keep working you just get the benefit of making and having more.
AI couldn't render hands 2 years ago, now we're getting literal fake news casts in their entirety.
