The pursuit of more, more, more is always empty in the end, and they eventually get all the weird sexual stuff as they try to push the limits (still convinced the longevity shit is mostly about sex). 

When they discover that they cannot avoid the meaninglessness of materialism, they try to find religion and build meaning into it. But it's a false god.

yea it's a very weird article but you see it happening around you, the harder it is for the new generation to participate in capitalism (buying a house, getting a good job, etc) the more likely they will turn against it and see other routes as more viable

it will always be a spectrum but in a highly specialized economy it's easier to coinflip than to provide meaninigful value to society
