The pursuit of more, more, more is always empty in the end, and they eventually get all the weird sexual stuff as they try to push the limits (still convinced the longevity shit is mostly about sex). 

When they discover that they cannot avoid the meaninglessness of materialism, they try to find religion and build meaning into it. But it's a false god.

Agreed it is a subtle kind of nihilism in that they seem to recognize they have no deep beliefs other than their own survival and the god of "more" : more time, more money, more stuff, more sex, more some sort of belief that will maybe fill this deep, deep hole in my soul.

also the whole dont die thing idk it feels like its been tried by all -billionaires- of past times, not with great results so far.

The society we're in now has a little bit more *equality* when it comes to gender, race and religion so what is being pushed now is ageism and wealth.

 The discussions and arguments online about age and income are now outweighing the discussions about anything else and trust I be chronically online peeping everything on an anthropologist type view
