it’s worth posting the video so people can see it. This is already in place, it’s the child tax credit. If I have dependents I get reductions.  Also, we do need future generations to pay our debt off so we should incentivize ppl to procreate. We don’t want to be like Japan right now. I don’t think this is a partisan topic at all.

There are issues of framing in the original video as well, now that you bring that up. There are ways to say things so that they are appealing and there are ways to say things that are divisive. Vance here chose the latter. This isn't about TFR. All of this is about degrading the status & citizenship of women, and about suggesting that any contributions, ambitions, or interests they have outside of childbearing don’t count. 

My personal opinion is that neither party is capable of fixing our TFR and debt problems. It doesn't matter who you vote for. No policy or person is capable of fixing our divided, amoral and individualistic society.

The inability to see beyond your own immediate, primal needs and not think about the implications of these tough guy ideologies on the generations that are going to inhabit the world and yes, dictate how that world is run in a few a short decades is laughable.
