Honestly I have no idea. I have had a pretty good experience on it but it does feel like old twitter. Maybe it’s just a narrow scope of people who want that experience in an age of so much other competition ie TikTok, threads etc

Building social networks with retention is extremely difficult. They have done the best job in recently (other than Threads).

Bluesky has done a great job of becoming a club for a lot of elite types who are alienated by X — academics, scientists, NGO leaders, journalists. I use it every day. But I have never used Threads and it hasn’t been a problem.
