I liked the idea of mcdegen leading to more memecoins and tvl on degen chain but it seems mcdegen is mainly used to take money out similar to tip4tip. do you think it still makes sense to keep this?

I don't really understand what /else/ it would be used for. The swap mechanism added a bit of game theory to the exit, but it's still just an exit with extra steps.

i think it’s a way to deal yourself memecoins in exchange for part of your tipping allowance. @mcdegen is #1 on the tips received leaderboard 

i don’t really understand the goal of it since it’s basically a legalized tip4coin? and new rules were just created to stop tip4tip?

i am, of course, biased (as the founder of /microsub), but i think tipping emissions should go toward furthering  the ecosystem (which could include memecoins that meet certain criteria, but i’m ignorant if there are guidelines)

Yeah was really surprised they added that option as it’s hard to see it as anything but an atm to self.

What if you had the times or amount you mcdegen tip in a season impact your allowance on some kind of curve? First few times, no big deal. But after a while it reduces your next day’s allowance in a meaningful way. 

Seems like a good way to prevent overuse/abuse while still supporting the innovation, but maybe that would be too difficult to implement?

I like having the option because I don't always have a reason to tip so nice to use my excess into a meme that generates activity on degen chain. I haven't been swapping out yet but I will if depe moons. I get the point that it doesn't align well with tip4tip restrictions. Maybe a similar approach to discourage sole use of mcdegen as way to cash in tips?
