on % and average, how much time does each one of you talk on the sessions?

i definitely feel that my psychologist could talk less. but i also trust that im in a process, so allow him to do that. but it feels like work in some sense. very intense work. so i don't think there is a right answer but without the labelling of the answer, for me it would be: 33% me that should be at least 50:50 IMHO

I’d say more like 70-80% you If he’s talking 67% of the time I would find a new practitioner tbh

that's what i feel also. and 90% of the time of the time he speaks he is just filling the space with concepts that have been learned through a lifetime of devoting his life to be a "good psychologist". but it gets tiring. but i also say: what if this is what i need at this point? debating on it every week tho. its an interesting process

could be interesting to cut him off sometime and say, β€œlook i don’t need all these concepts thrown at me. i want you to ask me good questions that help me explore my own self more deeply and access my own deepest wisdom and the love deep in my own heart, for this is what brings wholeness” and see what he says

lmao man im going to translate this and bring it written on a paper. so true. such a tricky thing to find a therapist that actually helps you in the way you need it in a given moment cc @marlo do you feel yours has been like that so far?

she and i are deeply on the same page. that page is that your beliefs shape your reality, so if you focus on reprogramming your beliefs you can heal a great deal quickly. we don’t do talk therapy, mostly tapping and emdr. it’s like psychic surgery in my experience, if you’re not ready to take that level of responsibility (my beliefs create my feelings and my outcomes, and i can’t blame anyone else for anything in my current life, including my emotional reactions), or if your therapist isn’t on that page too, then it could be tricky to achieve meaningful results every modality has positives, but the therapist may need to convince you of the efficacy of their modality and eliminate your resistance around using it before you can move forward. they can’t heal you, they can only help you understand how to be more healed
