Looking for feedback on this iteration for channels The single biggest remaining complaint is people feeling like the pre-existing, large, topic based channels like /food or /founders should be more accesible. It will also reduce work for channel mods who don't want to have to approve every single person who wants to cast in their channel, but are OK giving up some control of who (and they can always invite someone to be a member to guarantee it). $1000 FOR NETWORK STATE VISUALS I do have one visual of how to build a network state. It starts from one human in Japan to encompass one million netizens, and is attached in gif form below[1]. But I want more visuals. So, I will be offering six prizes ($500 grand prize and $100 honorable mention prizes) for visualizing network state formation. Your visuals need not be gifs. They could be comic books, slide decks, AI videos, still images, or something else entirely. I’m open to creativity. However, all submissions must be fully open source content in the “free culture” sense [2]. Ideally they are something I could just paste into a tweet, in either 9:16 or 16:9 form. Farcaster Dev Day impressions - developers, developers, developers - Merkle team takes in so much input and feedback, has complex problems to solve and things to build, yet impressively prioritizes with great focus - I constantly was thinking "whoa, people in this room are like *smart* smart" - it’s 10% humbling, 90% reinvigorating seeing not just the brains but passion behind a lot of these projects; project update casts don’t capture the nuanced excitement of someone speaking - building anywhere between 10% to 100% on top of Farcaster are both viable strategies today, albeit the latter is higher risk (and higher reward) given the hard pivots APIs have to take for the sake of moving fast - imposter syndrome fades quickly when people you respect hear your ideas and show genuine excitement and encouragement to see them through - overall it felt like a bunch of candles of varying flames come together and ignite each other; that is to say it even if it was mostly talking, it was lit 1/2
