404 seems like a solution in search of a problem, but I see its appeal and exploring uncharted territories is always worthwhile. interesting

Yah learned about them. To me the interesting mechanism is the “burn latest” if you drop below token # req. Basically forcing people to send any NFT they want to keep to a burner or cold, else you risk accidentally having it deleted.

in my mind, it’s a cool experiment vis a vis distribution & minting that said, I’m seeing a lot of yappers yappin “DIS IS DA FUTURE FINNA CHANGE EVERYTHING” type beat - which - I am not confident on. maybe I’m becoming a cryptoboomer. related:

I still haven’t looked into it deeply, but the gist I’m getting is: 1. It’s destined to fail because it isn’t actually an ERC at all - there’s no attempt to even start an EIP standard 2. Given things like PartyBid and fractional.art, there is an unmet need.

I can see that... still a bit confused and not sure the hype is justified. But at least it IS something new, and can see some use cases for various things like speculation, re-roll NFTs, giving people ability to reduce supply by splitting up batches of tokens, etc 100 $DEGEN
