Hey Degens, what’s your take on channels like /ventures? Should $DEGEN really flow into spaces with no substance, weak moderation, unoriginal posts, and no clear content policy? In your opinion, what makes a channel worth supporting?

Tbh, a lot of people (myself included) go into several channels, and don't participate. I like to have a diverse feed. And I don't clean my channels that often. I was not banned now but banning everyone who is a member of a channel (regardless of it being a low effort or not) is IMO using a too broad of a brush.

Imo, it's your decision to ban, but as per the rule, there were 15 afaik! Idk how i got banned , and i was in the /to-me, yet I've not farmed like farmers!!

I'm not familiar with this channel, it's the first time I've heard about it. However, I think it is difficult to objectively determine which content is of quality and which is not. What for me may be an interesting feed and worthy of a tip at the moment, for another person it may not have the same value and seem irrelevant. Not all of us here are great creators, but we trust and support the growth of Degen and Warpcast. Even so, I think there are many people who have been mislabeled, which can be unfair or discouraging.

i'm not familiar with ventures, to-me, easypaid or any of those channels that got filtered out. i have seen screenshots from casts in easypaid, and yes, it looked spammy. but in the end, everyone can stake their tokens and basically tip where and who they want. don't you think you are blocking a new wave of degens?

do you filter to create a ban list based on membership in certain channels? as you probably know, many (including me) might be a member of those suspicious channels without even realizing it, especially since the channel revamped last year and membership became a thing... back to your question, i haven't engaged with /venture channel..so i can't say much...

If it’s in line with the theme of the channel. For example I expect to see lots of awesome art and photos in those channels and not reposts of degen frames

With the new channel policy that was updated a few months ago, it is impossible to post in something interesting. Many people cannot post in channels freely, or a paid subscription is required, or the moderators decide that they only have a select circle. This is not fair, so people go to channels where everyone is accepted and where you can have fun chatting and yes, some can post nonsense, not everyone knows how to beautifully run pages and express their thoughts

I believe that everyone has the right to determine what they like. People take photos, some draw, some generate pictures, some provide us with news, why not? We live in an age of freedom of speech, it's wonderful. There is no need to adhere to the policy of restrictions, it seems to me so.

Hi, @jacek ! I follow dozens of channels every day, buy a subscription, look for different options, try to meet different people! The /ventures channel never demanded tips from me, subscription fees, here I found several hundred friends who will always help with advice and support, it’s not a farm, it’s a family!

In some channels they post just frames, and people are not blocked, in /ventures people post photos, news, their lives, why is this bad? This is great! We need to support this, these are living people and posts. Everyone has the right to determine what they like!

I reviewed the latest messages and tried objectively to evaluate how good or bad the channel is. It’s hard to be objective because everyone is different. But I can share why I personally love Ventures: • I always see mentions of projects I didn’t know about — I start participating. • The feed is full of beautiful photos of nature, architecture, and, of course, cats! It improves my mood. • I can share my thoughts and get support during tough times. • It was through Ventures that I got introduced to Farcaster and Degen. Wishing everyone kindness, peace, and much money (no, $Degen is better)

jacek, I think you are mostly right. Just that everyone knew that this season bans would be less than 15, and I introduced Degen to many of my friends. If your standards were true, we would all get banned (even though I worked hard), and some of them have to pay for their daughter's hospital bills. Please, don't ban this season and set strict standards starting next season. This is a problem with setting standards first.
