Iranian parliament has approved a plan to close the Strait of Hormuz. Honestly not the first move I thought they would take as a response to the USA.

Btw, China imports a large amount of oil from the Persian Gulf countries. 
And all that oil is transported by tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. I don’t think they’ll like this idea.

Yea. I would imagine that their Navy has begun dropping mines and the US is probably working on how they want to respond. I'm kind of curious to see if continued escalation makes Trump rethink tariffs at all.

Most likely, the response to this will also be military.

Fair enough.  I assume other world leaders are already in discussions with how to get the conversation between the three going.  

Don’t know how it’s going to play out.

20% of the world's oil goes through there. It is going to piss off other countries and I would assume they hope that other countries will put pressure on Israel and the US.

What would this do?

I’ve heard of the strait of Hormuz but my only guess is that oil is going to jump, and Gas is going to be expensive.

It shows they have no other major bargaining chips.

It makes sense if they want to try and put pressure on other nations to put pressure on US/Israel, but doesn't make a lot of sense in terms of their own economic interests.

all the "geopolitical experts" on Farcaster have said this is exactly what will be happening first. Also, I may or may not have heard of that Strait today (for the first time).
