P diddy raped multiple people and ran sex trafficking ring with underage boys Kanye West is a musician turned shock jock at best, racist at worst Joe Rogan has the worlds number one podcast and has done more for men’s (maybe women’s) health than probably any man alive Elon must built the electric vehicle revolution and is offering internet to everyone in the world (among many other things) You can’t seriously think they’re all the same

They are all characters in my mind and would be entertaining in this theoretical context. I don't think any of them are good people overall. I'm not sure how you can think Joe Rogan has helped people be healthy. You are giving Musk more credit for electric vehicles than I think he deserves.

What's so bad about Joe? I get that people might not like him by proxy of not liking the podcast guests (him giving them a platform) But is there something else?

Mainly his promotion of controversial or debunked ideas, use of offensive language, perceived irresponsibility with his platform, and the real-world impact his content can have on public discourse and health. In our current media environment his approach is reckless and dangerous.

It sounds like you think other people owe society something They don’t Repeat after me: β€œmy life is not a public good” Joe Rogan is just some guy that ppl like. He doesn’t owe anyone or have a responsibility of any kind with his platform. He’s had 1000s of hours of conversations. Most are with scientists, athletes, and entertainers. Q: how many of his episodes have you watched in full? Q2: what’s a non political topic you’re interested in? I’d like to recommend a podcast for you to listen to. It might change your perception of him and fwiw his advice on health has been spot on. His record for health information is incredible. From eating well to cold plunges, from exercise routines to relationship advice he’s helped a lot

In terms of health information he has said some nutty things about COVID-19 and also about vaccines in general. He claimed COVID-19 vaccines can alter your genes or are a form of gene therapy. He said Ivermectin can cure COVID-19. He believes if you get vaccinated after having had COVID-19, you're at greater risk of harmful side effects. He told young people they do not need to get vaccinated because the vaccine is riskier for them than COVID-19. He claimed mercury in vaccines is so toxic that spills require hazmat intervention. He promoted debunked information saying vaccines cause autism.

Some of that is true (side affects are greater than getting COVID for many ppl). Other covid ideas including lab leak theory have become endorsed as legitimate in part because of the voices on his podcast. Covid is complex and there’s a lot of issues. I purposely stopped listening to Covid information four years ago so it’s hard for me to comment on most of them But these claims you made are important. With regards to health COVID is maybe 5% of what he’s spoken about. Years before and years since Covid Rogan continues to discuss other health matters in detail. The outsized few of Rogan being a Covid conspiracist is the lie people will spur to those who don’t watch his show. How many full Joe Rogan episodes have you listened to? What’s an interest of yours outside of politics?
