Cuomo has conceded. But remember, this was not the mayoral election. That's in (checks notes)... November, at which point disgraced former Democrat governor Andrew Cuomo, may still run, alonside disgraced current NYC Democrat mayor, Eric Adams, both as independents, against Mamdani and Republican candidate Curtis Silwa.

Leftist candidate won the Dem primary then the old Dem mayor ran as a independent and beat her cause a bunch of GOP voted for him. Same situation as what you are warning about.

Yeah I think it's very likely. Would be worthwhile for people to focus on completely demolishing Cuomo, basically excommunicating him from politics, and if possible indicting him for his many crimes, to ensure he can't run. Eric Adams wont win because no one likes that fucking guy, but indicting him for his many crimes would also be great.

Good question. I though that was the hope for Adams with his trial that got thrown out. There is that option by the way. If Adams can be impeached or step down for whatever reason, the election gets called for within like 80 days I think it is. At this point, it would be September already so not a huge speed up, but still time is money and these corporate bootlickers have more than Zohran.
