This was my first mp3 player and I loved it. Kept it for years even after I got an iPod. Replaced the OS with Rockbox and played snaked on it

I owned the 2nd consumer MP3 player that came out. I would re encode music to 64kbps so I could get a full CD on that thing lol

At least it’s not 92kbps I guess 🤷‍♂️

a worse hell is when your favorite songs are redone to be *close* but obvious to a good fan that it's not the same.

I was over at someone's house and they were playing spotify or some music app (I didn't have it and hadn't experienced it) and there was a Journey song on, but it was SO NOT JOURNEY.  I tried to point this out to someone else with me, and they were like "but it sounds like Journey".

IT WASN'T JOURNEY.  It was a knockoff.  A close one, but it wasn't a live edition, or a bootleg or a remix. It was someone else.

I hated it.
