For all those saying that "coding" isn't a valuable skill anymore.

“Coding” was never the source of value, and people shouldn’t get overly attached to it. Problem solving is the core skill. The discipline and precision demanded by traditional programming will remain valuable transferable attributes, but they won’t be a barrier to entry.

For architecture they always fed us the line that a good architect isn’t solving a problem — anyone can do that. The more valuable skill is being able to identify the problem. The solution a client expects does not always align with the problem a client has. It’s kind of a first principles approach. 

I think developers, engineers, programmers w/e have the same capacity for lateral thinking and use their tools in a similar way. I do think that skill will always be valuable.
