I asked Claude to make a list of the most expensive debt-funded legislation passed by the US congress. The party that claims to be more fiscally responsible and better for the economy tops the list and is currently trying to set a new record.

Both parties are just the same old same old but with a new face.. and maybe a new slogan. “nothing stops this train”.

Agree pretty much. DOGE failing prolly reinforced the notion that the debt must be inflated away and that the economy has to be juiced by getting energy costs down and reluctantly upping fiscal spending (and in turn realizing the hoped-for productivity gains from quasi-industrial policy that causes real wages to keep up). Also, I wonder if DOGE was more an attempt to weaken the centers of power of the political opposition rather than a genuine attempt to cut spending, even if Elon initially went in thinking otherwise
