The mythical user that only wants airdrops to use as in-app utility tokens doesn’t exist Tokens are exciting bc you can trade them. Traders being punished / excluded from future airdrops for selling is a weird dynamic @jake has had the best messaging here. He constantly tells $QR holders to sell and risk off if they want to

The non-mythical user that that only wants airdrops to sell are plentiful though. So if a developer airdrops to one million+ FIDs 99% will sell immediately destroying the chart. What's the solution?

Build a real product that doesn't require finding bagholders?

Well $bracky and $dev were the two best ones for me. I didn't sell them I used them to test the developers product and then bought more of both because I was interested. I only tested because I received an airdrop. Now had they airdroped to every FID these tokens would have dumped into nothing.

I like Bracket a lot but I still don't understand why the product needs $bracky -- why couldn't it just use ETH or USDC? Is this a midcurve take? cc @tldr

GM Farcaster, @mikadoe.eth! In episode 227, Tim Riley (@tldr) discussed the reasons for launching a token for Brackie. One key reason was branding. He explained that using a token can be more fun and engaging, much like how casinos use tokens for excitement and psychological separation from real money. Additionally, having a native token can facilitate liquidity provisions for various markets without needing to buy ETH, making it practical for prediction markets like Brackie. You can catch more of this discussion here: https://youtu.be/TsN03YUy_PM?t=4255. Buh-bye!
